OWIT Alberta is excited to be partnering with the Forum for International Trade Training (FITT) on their FITT - Going Global Seminars.pdf in Alberta. As Canada’s international trade training and professional certification body and the leading membership based organization of its kind in the world, FITT equips individuals and businesses with the practical skills they need to succeed in today’s competitive global marketplace. They also set standards and design the training programs for the professional designation, Certified International Trade Professional (CITP).
FITT’s Going Global workshops present the basic knowledge you need to do business abroad. By participating, you will learn to identify market opportunities, leverage your resources to secure financing, negotiate partnerships with foreign distributors, and more! If you are contemplating a move into the global arena you don’t want to miss these workshops. Workshop topics include: introduction to international trade; international market research; international marketing; international trade finance; international trade logistics and distribution; and cultural aspects of international trade.
Our first Going Global workshop will be “Introduction to the cultural aspects of international trade”, and is currently being scheduled for the latter part of May. It will be the first of several workshops we will be partnering on. They are doing some great work there, and we know that by giving in this way, we will be able to assist some of the members of our sister chapter there.
