Krista Chileshe
Krista is an Account Manager, Business Banking with HSBC Canada (www.hsbc.ca), Edmonton Main Branch. In this capacity, she assists businesses in the Edmonton area with structuring their finances and capital facilities to allow them to excel at what they do, both domestically and abroad.
Krista is also the Director of The Global Business Office Ltd (www.theglobaloffice.ca), a consulting firm that assists businesses to "trade outside the box" and explore opportunities. She holds her Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation, has a Masters of International Trade as well as a Bachelors of Commerce in Global Business Management.
She has also put her passion to work in farther throws from home; Thailand (Communications and Event Management Coordinator for the Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce) as well as Tanzania (Trade Services Office for Standard Chartered Bank). These opportunities gave her a better understanding of global supply chains, developing market opportunities, and international business in general. Krista continues to have a heart for Africa and is currently fundraising to provide sustainable nourishment and income through a goat program (www.gotgoats.ca).
A long term personal goal is to assist developing countries (and citizens thereof) to alleviate their own poverty, through education and trade for aid - increasing capacity and match making with Canadian supply chains.
Krista was recently selected (September 2011) as a featured "Sizzling 20 under 30" by the Edmontonian Magazine. Page 35
