Monica Rovers

Monica Rovers joined Calgary Economic Development in 2007 as Business Development Manager – International. In her role, Monica promotes international business by assisting local companies to grow internationally and encouraging foreign companies to enter the Calgary market. She has been involved in numerous incoming and outgoing trade missions, and has built a strong network of local, national and international colleagues and organizations. Through her work with the Global Business Centre, Monica is invested in the attraction of international business opportunities and building business connections between these international organizations and businesses in Calgary and Southern Alberta.

Monica has over ten years of international marketing and international relations work experience in non-profit, private and public organizations. She has worked and traveled in Brazil, China, Colombia, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Tanzania, Thailand, UK, US, and Vietnam. Monica holds an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University.
